1.0 PURPOSE:
To lay down the procedure for the recording of burning hours of UV lamps.
2.0 SCOPE:
This procedure applicable for recording of burning hours of UV lamps at (Company name).
3.0 DEFINITIONS:
Nil.
4.0 RESPONSIBILITY:
4.1. Production Operator/Officer is responsible for recording of burning hour’s of UV lamps.
4.2. Production Officer / Executive, Sr.Executive is responsible for execution of the procedure and to confirm.
4.3. Head-Production is responsible to ensure the compliance of the procedure.
5.0 PROCEDURE:
5.1. Switch ‘ON’ the UV lamp.
5.2. Do not expose to UV light.
5.3. Record following details in UV lamp usage and cleaning record in Annexure-I.
5.3.1. Enter the serial number of UV lamp.
5.3.2. Enter the date of UV lamp installation.
5.3.3. Record the total number of burning hours of the UV lamp as per the manufacturer’s specification.
5.3.4. Enter the date and time in provided column.
5.3.5. Enter the time at which the UV lamp is switched ON in “Switched ON” (in Hours)”
column.
5.3.6. Enter the time at which the UV lamp is switched OFF in “Switched OFF” (in Hours)” column.
5.3.7. Enter the total burning hours “Switched OFF” (in Hours) – “Switched ON” (in Hours) in “Burning hours” column.
5.3.8. Enter the left over burning hours in “Burning hours left” (Burning hours left —Total burning hours) column.
5.4. Once total burning hours come to manufacturer recommended burning hours, replace the UV lamp with new one.
5.5. Clean the UV lamp fixtures with clean and dry lint free cloth.
5.6. Finally clean the UV lamp with dry lint free cloth.
5.7. Frequency: Replace the UV lamp if any failure / breakage occur during usage/ after completion of manufacturer recommended burning hours and record the same.
