5.2 Based on priority and production planning, Group leader shall arrange for sampling.
5.3 Analyst shall verify whether the material received is from approved vendor by comparing the name of the vendor on the GRN against the approved vendor list and analyst shall check the availability of required details in the GRN and record the observations in the “Sampling checklist for Compressed gas cylinders used in manufacturing process” as given in the Annexure-I.
5.4 Analyst shall ensure the cylinder as per the colour coding given below mentioned table and the same shall be updated in the sampling checklist.

5.5 Select the number of cylinder to be tested based on √N+1 principle. For eg. If the number of containers is 5 number, √5 +1 = 2.2 + 1 = 3.
5.6 Connect the cylinder through the pressure regulator.
5.7 Slowly open the cylinder valve and use the pressure regulator to adjust the output. Allow the gas to purge for 5 minutes
5.8 Collect samples in individual Tedlar bags or rubber bladders, and conduct purity tests on each selected cylinder
5.9 Perform other quantitative parameters using any one of cylinder selected as mentioned above
5.10 For qualitative tests collect the composite sample of the gas in the Tedler bags/rubber bladder and perform the analysis as per relevant STP.
