1.0 PURPOSE:
To lay down the procedure for cleaning and sanitization of waste bins.
2.0 SCOPE:
This procedure is applicable for cleaning and sanitization of waste bins in (Company name).
3.0 DEFINITIONS:
4.0 RESPONSIBILITY:
4.1 Production Operator is responsible for cleaning and sanitization of waste bins as per SOP.
4.2 Production Officer / Executive are responsible for the execution of the procedure and to confirm.
4.3 Head-Production is responsible to ensure the compliance of the procedure.
5.0 PROCEDURE:
5.1 Precaution and instructions:
5.1.1 Use hand gloves while cleaning and sanitizing of waste bins.
5.1.2 Ensure that before cleaning all waste is remove from waste bins into poly bag.
5.2 Procedure for cleaning:
5.2.1 Remove the waste from the waste bins into poly bag in respective area.
5.2.2 Transfer all waste bins to the washing area.
5.2.3 Rinse the waste bin with purified water till ensures visually the waste bin is cleaned.
5.2.4 Drain the water from the waste bin.
5.2.5 Sanitize the waste bins with scheduled disinfectant solution and hold it for validated contact time (10 minutes).
5.2.6 Finally clean the waste bins with water for injection or purified water as applicable.
5.2.7 Dry the waste bins by using 0.2 micron filtered compressed air and place them in their respective position.
5.2.8 Place poly bag in waste bin.
5.2.9 Frequency: Clean the waste bins daily at the end of production activity.
